I think I'm a very temperamental person to be honest

When I face hardships and feel sad or depressed so much

I always listen this song

After I figured out the meaning of the lyrics with the help of a dictionary about a year ago

I feel sympathy for every single word

I've heard this song so so so many times, especially since I came to London,

that I remember almost all the lyrics,

so it makes me more pessimistic very often and even make me feel like crying once i hear this song

but it gives me something like catharsis at the same time

That remind me

my grandmother once told me there were more tough times than good times in our lives

I feel very weird that my favorite song is the one I always hear when I'm in hard times

but I seem I really like it after all

実はすごく感情の起伏が激しい人間だと自分では思っています

何かつらいことがあってすごく悲しくなったり落ち込んだときは

いつもこの曲を聴きます

1年ほど前辞書を片手に歌詞を訳してみて意味を理解してから

その言葉ひとつひとつに共感します

ほとんど歌詞覚えてしまってるくらい、何回も何回も、

特にこっちに来てからすごく聴いたので

ひとたびこの曲を聴きはじめればもっと悲観的になって来て

もう泣きそうになります

でもそれと同時に

何かカタルシスのようなものを与えてくれます

そういえば昔

祖母が人生は楽しい事よりつらい事のほうが多い、と言っていました

一番好きな曲がいつもつらいときに聴く曲だなんて

何か変な気がしますが

やはりこの曲が大好きみたいです

PHOENIX '1901' MUSIC VIDEO

The music video of '1901' by a french band PHOENIX, one of my current favorite artists, which is produced by Dazed and Confused, seems nominated by a renowned Rushes Soho Shorts Festival.
I'm so happy to hear that because I have listened the album 'Wolfgang Amadeus' including the song so many times, and I really like PHOENIX as I can feel some kinds of romanticism as if I am still a teenager.
Actually the most played song in my ipod in this one year will be its classic, 'If I Ever Feel Better'...

僕が今現在スゴく好きなアーティストの一つであるフレンチバンド、フィニックスの「１９０１」のミュージックヴィデオ（Dazed and Confused プロデュース）が名高いRushes Soho Shorts Festivalにノミネートされたようです
去年この曲を含むアルバム「Wolfgang Amadeus」はすごく聴きましたし、まるで未だにティーネイジにいるかのようなロマンティシズムを感じさせてくれるフィニックスがスゴい好きなので、とても嬉しいです
実際去年1年間、僕のiPodで最もプレイされた曲は彼らのクラッシック、「If I Ever Feel Better」だと思います、、、

MINIMALISTS in LANVIN

Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills, living legends of club music history, in the front row in Lanvin of 2011 SS.
They both seem keen on fashion as well, Richie Hawtin has his own fashion label, Richly Hawtin, and Jeff Mills run his shop, Gamma Player, in Chicago.
I would think it's weird they were there if it was a few season before, but now I think they really fit current mood of Lanvin, actually.

２人ともファッションにも熱心なようで、リッチーは自身のファッションレーベル、Richly Hawtinを運営し、ジェフはシカゴに自身のショップ、Gamma Playerを所有しているようです
もしこれが数シーズン前ならなにか違和感があったと思いますが、でも現在ののランバンの雰囲気にはすごく彼らが合うと思います

By the way, what is minimal? What does it mean exactly?
If excluding unnecessary things and keeping something minimum mean minimal, who can decide what is necessary or unnecessary?
If typical unnecessary things is essential for somebody, can they be said as minimal?
If so, everything can be minimal, because all creators will be creating their works considering there's no extra parts in their finished works.
There seem some typical, common images of what minimal things should be...even if some of them are not minimum at all...
Besides I think too many people and things are trying to be minimal, or our image of minimal...
I don't hate so called minimal things, rather I like it, but I feel the tendency is boring and I still wonder what minimal is in the true meaning.


ところで、ミニマルってなんでしょう？正確には何を意味するのでしょう？
もし不要なモノを排除し何かを最小限に留めるということがミニマルなら、誰がそれらを必要か不必要か決めるのでしょうか？
もし典型的に不必要なモノが誰かにとって必要なら、それらはミニマルといえるのでしょうか？
もしそうなら、全てのモノがミニマルであると言えます
なぜならクリエイターの人々は彼らの創造した完成品には余分なところはない、と考えてつくっているはずであるからです
何か典型的な、共通のミニマルとはこうあるべきもの、みたいなイメージがある気がします
たとえそのなかに最低限でないモノがあったとしても、、、
それにあまりに多くのヒト、モノがミニマル、もしくは僕たちのイメージのミニマルになろうとしすぎている気がします
僕はミニマルと呼ばれるモノは全然嫌いではなく、むしろ好きです、が時にそういう傾向はつまらないと思いますし本当の意味のミニマルって何なのだろう、、、と思います

HAUNTED HOUSE??

'Haunted House'? 'Witch House'? or simply 'Drag'?
Personally I like first one the best (as it's really weird....).
Anyway there seem the upsurge of new music movement which is called like them, and I got into these sounds of 2010, which are dark, heavy and spooky music but may be inspired by Houston screwed-chopped hip hop, some kinds of Goth, Dubstep and so on.
Something like Dubstep meets Goth. will be so fitted for now, or this fall & winter, I think.
Religious and holy, but destructive and gangsta, with dignity...
It's like Givenchy, in some way.

訳すと、オバケハウス？魔女ハウス？笑
個人的には最初のが好きです（すんごい変な名前だから、、、）
とにかくそういう風に呼ばれる新しいオトがキテるらしいです
こういうダークでヘヴィーでオバケでそうな、そしてヒューストン系の歪んで刻まれたヒップホップやゴス、そしてダプステップなどなどからも影響受けてそうなこういう２０１０年なオト、ハマりました
ゴスミーツダブステップなんて今、若しくはこの秋冬にぴったりな感じかなと思います
宗教的で神聖、でも破壊的でギャングスタ、そして尊厳な、、、
なんとなくジバンシーです

Cocorosie 'Grey Oceans'

I didn't know that Cocorosie's new album was released last month!

知らぬ間にCocorosieのニューアルバムが先月出てました！












There's a lot of things I have to say in this jacket artwork.... Heavy metallic logo, weird mustache, D-I-Y clothes..
Then this video of 'Lemonade' is super gothic in spite of the title which feel like summer....
This album features the strings of piano and has a variety of beats, something like tribal, drumn'bass and even trance (which is collaborated with Paul Van Dyk).
Some people may hate their music because most of their songs have a kind of dark and depressive atmosphere (especially in this summer season...), but I think their unique world of fantasy is such a beautiful and I can feel as if I'm in the another world.
My current favorite one in this album is the song below.

それからこの「レモネード」のクリップも、夏を感じさせるタイトルとは裏腹に超ゴシックです、、、
このアルバムではピアノと、トライバル、ドラムンベース、そしてトランス（Paul Van Dykとのコラボ）など様々なビートがフィーチャーされています
ダークで落ち込み系の曲が多いので受け付けないヒトも多いとは思いますが、この姉妹のファンタジーな世界観はほんと唯一無二だと思いますし、聞いているとまるで別の世界にいるみたいに感じます
僕的ベストはいまのとこの曲です

When I went to Plastic People (it's still alive?), which had amazing sound systems, underground atmosphere and cool liners, they were playing with some other new-dubstep ? DJs.
The nite was so cool, so I got Fabriclive 50 mixed by Dbridge & them, but I was slightly disappointed because it's more like calm an slower, rather than aggressive or escalating.
This Fact Mix, however, has rocked me!
This is what I needed!!
